Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as one evaluation?
Each evaluation uses one credit. You upload photos and documents for a single piece of equipment, and Stilltide generates a complete report with identification, specs, market pricing, and a PDF - that is one evaluation.
Can I evaluate equipment packages or production systems?
The Basic plan supports single-machine evaluations. The Professional plan adds package and system evaluations for equipment bundles and production lines, with AI-powered photo grouping and combined pricing. Auction lot evaluations will be available in an upcoming plan.
What file formats do exported reports support?
All plans include professional PDF export. The Professional plan adds Excel export for importing evaluation data into your own spreadsheets and listing tools.
How accurate are the AI valuations?
Stilltide provides market-informed pricing estimates based on current data, comparable sales, and equipment condition. These are informational estimates to support your pricing decisions - not formal appraisals or certified valuations.
What types of industrial equipment does Stilltide support?
Stilltide evaluates industrial machinery commonly found in resale, auctions, and dealer networks - including CNC machines, construction equipment, manufacturing lines, forklifts, material handling equipment, and more.
How do credits work?
Each evaluation uses one credit from the matching pool. Single-machine evaluations use single credits; package and system evaluations use a separate pool on the Professional plan. Credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over.
What is the difference between a package and a system evaluation?
A package is a bundle of unrelated equipment sold together - for example, a shop closing out several machines at once. A system is a connected production line where equipment operates in sequence, like a complete manufacturing cell. Stilltide groups photos and generates combined pricing for both.
